Courses and Teacher Training

BWY Foundation Course

This British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) course is a deep dive into aspects of yoga not usually covered in a weekly yoga class. It comprises 60 hours of teaching over 10 months and includes:

  • Yoga philosophy with study of the key yogic texts including the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali

  • Pranayama and the pranic system

  • Asana with a detailed overview of key basic yoga postures

  • Anatomy and physiology

  • History of yoga

  • Different paths, styles and traditions of yoga

  • Relaxation techniques

  • Meditation and concentration

  • Chakras

  • Developing a home practice

  • Guidance and support with deciding to move on to teacher training (if applicable) or your next steps on your yoga journey

Held in a bright, spacious, purpose-designed yoga studio in South East London, the course is taught by me and my colleague Anna Ferla. We are both highly trained and experienced BWY teachers and tutors.

Cost: £tbc plus £60 registration fee to the BWY.  You must also become a BWY member prior to registering on the course, which you can do here.

Additional Information

Wear loose, comfortable clothing with layers you can/add or remove as needed.  We practice barefoot.  A water bottle is also helpful.  Mats and all yoga props are provided in the studios, feel free to bring your own if you wish.  If you are attending class in Dulwich Village, please bring your own mat.

With pregnancy, the way you feel will change from day to day, week to week. Please listen to your body and let me know if there are any changes which can help me modify your yoga practice to suit you.
